FedMSB Forms Committee to Develop AmeriUSD Digital Dollar
The Federal Money Services Business Association has launched the National Digital Dollar Committee to advance AmeriUSD as a next-generation U.S. payment system.
The Federal Money Services Business Association (FedMSB) announced Tuesday the formation of the National Digital Dollar Committee (NDDC), a newly established industry body tasked with coordinating development of AmeriUSD, a digital dollar system aimed at modernizing U.S. payments, remittances and settlement infrastructure.
The NDDC's creation marks a formal industry-level push to bring a privately coordinated digital dollar framework to market, positioning AmeriUSD as what FedMSB describes as a next-generation solution for domestic and cross-border financial transactions. The announcement was made from New York on Sept. 30, 2026.

The move reflects broader momentum in the U.S. financial services sector to develop dollar-denominated digital payment rails, as both public and private entities race to define the architecture of future monetary infrastructure.
